Apartments is located in the heart of of the old city,
really downtown!!! Yet, it's position, tucked amongst clusters of
historic buildings, provides for a quiet get-away from the bussle of
the action.
Heintje
Hoekssteeg is a side street connecting Warmoesstraat and the
Oudezijds Voorburgwal (two of the cruisiest streets in the city),
where we are located. It is a small residential street where no
traffic is allowed. Even so the street is very quiet because no bars,
etc. are located here.
The apartments
have a direct view of the Museum "Jesus on the Attic".
Argos, the
world's first leather bar was located on the Heintje Hoekssteeg.
Central Station, Dam square and Amsterdam's cruisiest bars are just
minutes away on foot, putting the Dutch playgrounds right in your
backyard.

ROUTE
Transportation
From Schiphol Airport (public transfer) you can reach Amsterdam by
train in 20 minutes. The entrance to the trains is in the arrival-hall
where you should buy a train ticket to AMSTERDAM CENTRAL RAILWAY
STATION. This is very cheap. ((Inter)national Railway Information)
From Amsterdam
Central Station it is a five-minute walk to the apartments (for
walking route see below map).
At Schiphol
Airport you can also take a taxi in front of the arrival-halls. Ask
the driver to bring you to the Oudezijds Voorburgwal in Amsterdam, at
the corner of the museum Jesus on the Attic/Heintje Hoekssteeg. A taxi
is more expensive, ask the driver for the rates in advance!
Parking
Use Victoria Underground Parking in front of Centraal Station or the
Bijenkorf Department Store parking. Narrow streets make parking at the
accommodations impossible.
General route for first
arrival
Cross the
two bridges in the front of the Central Railway station,
Go to the
left corner,
Enter the
Nieuwe Brugsteeg,
Go to the
right, enter the Warmoesstraat,
Walk to
the former Policestation house nr 48
in the Warmoesstraat,
Opposite
the house nr 48 is the alley Heintje Hoekssteeg and at
the left side you will find our buildings.

Rij voor
het Centraal station richting IJ-tunnel,
Duik
uiterst rechts de Nieuwe Brugsteeg in richting de wallen,
Passeer
rechts de Warmoesstraat,
Verderop
draai rechtsaf de Oudezijds Voorburgwal op,
Stop bij de 2e
steeg, hoek Museum Amstelkring/Heintje
Hoekssteeg.
