In November 1999 7 layers set up its
North America division
in Irvine (California, USA), right in the heart of
the US
wireless world,
and within easy reach from Los Angeles and
San Diego.
In August 2002 we expanded our operations by
moving into a new facility to enable convenient, private work
environements for our visiting customers and offer a broader level of
services. 7 layers US offers complete services for product development,
certification and qualification testing for wireless communications
products. As part of the 7 layers group we are involved in third generation technology development like EDGE and W-CDMA (UMTS). Especially for the American market 7 layers offers EDGE research and development tests, that speed up technology and product development considerably.
Our laboratories in Irvine offer RF and
Protocol tests for GSM 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 including GPRS and EDGE.
In addition, this facility supports the latest
GSM features to include Adaptive Multi-Rate (AMR). 7 layers US is
the first and only accredited facility in North America
offering W-CDMA testing for the latest generation of mobile terminals
for both RF and protocol testing.
