7 layers Germany, Ratingen

7 layers Germany has been set up early 1999 in Ratingen close to Düsseldorf. It is a service centre for the wireless communications industry that can be consulted with all questions concerning technology and product development, test procedures and customized test solutions as well as global qualification. Our laboratories are organized via the InterLab^® system for professional testing.

The location
7 layers Germany is located in excellent new facilities, just 5 minutes drive from Düsseldorf International Airport.

The team
Our team in Germany amounts to 90 people at the moment of which the majority are engineers with more than ten years of experience in GSM product development and testing. They have also participated in the development of the Bluetooth^® qualification program and test procedures. More recently they have been active with the development of ad hoc technologies and test case development for 3G. Engineers at 7 layers Ratingen developed the InterLab^® system for professional testing, making test procedures easier and more efficient than ever.

Our InterLab^® laboratories

Cellular services
7 layers Germany is fitted out for all GSM, GPRS, E GPRS, HSCSD, AMR tests. We were also one of the first to offer 3G testing.
Bluetooth^® services
Our laboratories in Ratingen are officially accepted Bluetooth^® Qualification Test Facilities (BQTF) and two of the four Bluetooth^® Qualification Bodies (BQB) of 7 layers are situated here.
EMC services
We also offer test services for electromagnetic compatibility.
EMC tests for larger objects like cars, trucks etc. can be arranged due to our cooperation with EMC Test NRW.
Wireless LAN and Radio Communications services
In this area 7 layers arranges all testing necessary for global market access.
